Privacy Policy
Effective Date: September 2026 • EatUp — Free Windows Storage Analyzer
1. Our Core Principle: Zero Data Collection
EatUp was built with a privacy-first foundation. We do not track you, we do not log your activity, and we do not collect your personal information. When you use EatUp, every operation takes place strictly on your local PC.
2. Local Storage Analysis
EatUp scans directories, computes file sizes, and parses file extensions solely in your computer's local memory to build the storage treemap. At no point are your filenames, folder structures, drive paths, or file contents transmitted over the internet.
3. Safe File Management (Recycle Bin)
When you choose to clean or "Eat" files, EatUp uses the native Windows Shell API to move items directly to your Windows Recycle Bin. Nothing is permanently deleted without your control, and no external service is involved in the deletion process.
4. No Analytics or Third-Party Trackers
The EatUp desktop application contains zero telemetry SDKs, zero crash analytics loggers, and zero third-party advertising scripts. It operates fully offline without requiring an active internet connection.
5. Updates and Security
If you download updates in the future, downloads are fetched directly from our official distribution endpoint. No unique machine identifiers or hardware tokens are transmitted.
6. Contact & Openness
EatUp is developed openly. For any inquiries regarding our privacy standards or source code, reach out via our GitHub repository.
